old days

It’s easy to feel old, when you are..well effin’ old dude.

My teammate Amy is 18, and I literally have lp records older than her. Not old records mind, but records I bought when they came out, and I still think of as current in some way.

I’d say I’m old school, but that’s denial. I wore Chuck Taylor’s before Amy was born. In my day surfing porn meant the back room at Half price books, before they got all corporate and stopped having Playboy in the periodical section.

Okay I’m in danger of sounding like one of those emails your mom would forward, so I’ll shut it.

Anyway, the good news is the kids are alright, I feel good about the next generation. They are smart, and cool, and I adore them.

Now if you’ll excuse me I’ll listen to Bob Dylan and enjoy a plain Hersey bar.
